Gurmeet ran her first 42 kilometers at 42 years old. Since then, she has run all over the world, travelling to new destinations and running a marathon. She has run the 7 continents and many exotic marathons like the Machu Picchu marathon, Everest marathon, Khardungla ultra marathon in the Himalayas, and the Comrades ultra marathon. At age 55, she is all set to run the North Pole marathon to make it to the Grand Slam.

Though Valérie started running quite late, she has always been enthusiastic about trying new things and exploring new sensations. The idea of running her first marathon came to her as she was about to turn 42, matching the marathon distance in kilometers. This symbolic connection inspired her to spontaneously register for her first marathon in NYC and start training. Since then, long-distance training has become her key to physical and mental balance. The North Pole Marathon, her 6th, stands out as the most original and challenging way to celebrate her 50s! What a crazy and exciting idea. While Valérie may not boast record-breaking marathon times, her ambition and motivation embody the spirit of a truly accomplished athlete. She has experienced a mindset shift, pushing herself to go above and beyond for personal health goals, just as she does for her family and career.

Christiane is an Architect and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with a keen interest in engineering. At 46, she balances her busy life as a married infrastructure project manager with her passion for street running, always with an eye on maintaining a vibrant, healthy future. Christiane thrives on tackling significant challenges and has an impressive roster of marathons and ultramarathons under her belt, including the Madrid Marathon (2016), Las Vegas Marathon (2017), Thomso Marathon (June 22, 2019), and the NY Ultramarathon 60km (November 17, 2018). The North Pole Marathon presents a unique test, pushing her to the limits, especially challenging given her training in Brazil's warm climate, often exceeding 30°C. This race takes place over the Arctic Ocean's ice, providing a stunning and possibly fleeting setting for an amazing challenge. The significance of running in such a pristine environment is not lost on Christiane, who recognizes the potential for these ice landscapes to change dramatically in the coming decades. By completing the North Pole Marathon, Christiane aims to honor her supportive network, including her parents, siblings, in-laws, nephews, friends, and particularly her husband, her constant companion and cheerleader through life's races. In this endeavor, she holds a deep sense of gratitude towards God, acknowledging the divine support in her journey.

Xiangyu a senior partner at a law firm located in Shanghai, started her first marathon at the 2015 Shanghai Marathon and has participated in all subsequent Shanghai Marathon events. Additionally, Xiangyu has participated in several marathons and cross-country races held in various cities around the world, including Beijing, Berlin, Chicago, Boston, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Antarctic Ice Marathon, and others. She is looking forward to attending the upcoming World's Northernmost Marathon - the North Pole Marathon!

For Ram, the North Pole Marathon transcends the mere concept of a marathon; he was drawn to it by the desire to travel to the northernmost point of the world, as he has a passion for exploring unique places. Moreover, he enjoys running because it keeps him fit. Over the past seven years, Ram has completed 24 half marathons, and this will mark his 25th. He also takes pride in being the first Indian to run the North Pole Half Marathon. Now, Ram harbors the ambition to participate in seven marathons in seven days across seven continents, as he loves to undertake extraordinary endeavors in life.

At the age of 72, Jose found this challenge exciting and was eager to see if he could accomplish it. Huma aims to be the first Muslim woman to run the North Pole Marathon. As one of the first British Pakistani women to compete nationally in various running events across the United Kingdom, she has now completed multiple marathons, including London, Berlin, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and Svalbard. With a recent marathon personal best of 3 hours and 27 minutes, Huma has successfully qualified to represent England's Veterans 55 Team later this year. Additionally, she is setting her sights on completing the remaining Major Marathons, with Boston being her next target. She also aims to summit Everest in the next 5 years.
